The importance of training
We all know that when we learn something new, whether it be a skill or activity, there's a period when mistakes, mishaps and misjudgements are made. Here's the catch, you can't afford to make mistakes while riding a motorcycle in urban traffic. Therefore we will make certain that you keep them to an absolute minimum. Join us and get proper training so that you can have the solid foundation needed to ensure a long, safe and fun-filled riding career. Be smart, invest in your future.

The Course
Part 1: Motorcycle Theory
You will be in the classroom learning the basics of motorcycle riding, attitude and gear. Classroom theory time is taught using lectures, digital videos, digital projectors and different types of diagrams, all in high-quality format. There's one written test to be done following the theory session. The entire theory segment of the course is 8 hours in total.
Part 2: Range Riding
You'll be practising exercises such as basic operation of the motorcycle, slow riding, slaloms, figure-eights, emergency braking, braking in a corner and other exercises to enhance your balance, clutch control and general handling of the motorcycle. The MSA, previously known as the novice test, is assessed following this range segment of the program. We assess the test, on-site using the same bike on which you've been training. If a failure occurs, or the instructor feels you're not ready, we'll supply you with an hour of one-on-one private training at no cost to you (valid towards MSA training only). We will re-test you at no charge. The entire practical/range segment of the course is approximately 10 hours in total.
Part 3: Road Rides
At this point we take you on the road as a group. During the road rides you'll get the opportunity to use space management, lane positioning, hazard perception, and other valuable skills you've learned so far. There are plenty of chances on the road rides to experience all the different types of scenarios that you would typically encounter except now you are able to do it under the proper supervision of a professional, while gaining valuable insight into perfecting your overall skills and abilities on the road. After completing the road ride segment, a final road test will be conducted by ICBC using the same bike on which you've been training. The final road tests are done on Fridays. The entire road ride segment is approximately 8 hours. ICBC charges $50 per attempt on the final road rest. The use of a ProRide motorcycle is included in your course fee. There will be a $50 charge for any ProRide bikes used for any subsequent final road test attempts.
