Dan was always fascinated with bikes while growing up. At age 7, he got his first dirt bike, started to ride and has never looked back.
Dan can boast that hes ridden almost every type of bike out there. Hes ridden dirt bikes, dual sports, cruisers, standard style, tourers, classics, European, sport bikes, race bikes, and scooters.
Dan has toured extensively throughout the USA and Canada both on- and off-road. Hes ridden to Alaska, California, Montreal, and New Orleans. Hes also had the amazing experience of touring Europe on his motorcycle.
Dan has proudly participated in a Saddlesore 1000, riding 1813 kms in 24 hours! Hes ridden many group rides made up of from 10 to 900 riders (e.g.,charity toy runs).
Every year Dan is sure to participate in at least one week-long road trip on his bike. Dan is a lifelong rider and really enjoys all aspects of motorcycles. He also has experience in maintenance and restoration of many types of motorcycles. Dan has restored over 50 motorcycles so far.
He loves the feeling of freedom he gets from riding. He describes it in his own words as just being one with the machine and in that moment when nothing else matters!
Dan has always been a motorcycle safety advocate and has consistently encouraged his friends and colleagues to learn to ride safely. He gets a great sense of joy helping people improve their riding skills and watching them progress into mature, safe riders.
Dan agrees with the rest of the ProRide team, if racing is your thing, keep it on the track, and hey, its way cheaper than a speeding ticket, or worse!
